Port Canaveral is 45 miles from Orlando International Airport, about a 45-minute drive on State Road 528 also known as the Beach Line. Fortunately, there are several convenient transportation options to choose from, ensuring that your transition from the airport to the cruise terminal is as smooth as possible.
We highly recommend Cocoa Beach Express as your shuttle provider. Most Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area hotels do not offer complimentary airport shuttle services. The following hotels use Cocoa Beach Express as their preferred provider:
There is a variety of taxi cab providers available at the airport. Most taxis can accommodate a maximum of 9 passengers and maintain a consistent fare rate, irrespective of the number of passengers on board. All taxis operating at the airport adhere to the City of Orlando’s Vehicle-for-Hire ordinance, which mandates that fares are calculated using a taximeter and flat fees are not authorized. However, a one-way trip costs approximately $115.
All ride-share companies (such as Uber, Lyft, and Wingz) may pick up passengers on the Arrivals Curb at the airport. Depending on how many passengers and your needs, your fare can run from $64 to $177 one way.
Orlando International Airport offers a range of on-site rental car providers for your convenience. You may have the option to rent and return your car in the Cocoa Beach area or keep it parked for the duration of your cruise at Park Port Canaveral, returning it to the airport once your cruise concludes. The choice is yours for a seamless travel experience.
Whichever mode of transportation you select, the goal remains the same: a seamless journey to the Port Canaveral cruise terminal, allowing you to set sail with ease and embark on your unforgettable cruise adventure.
